Kenzo is watching
Active wear has moved from the gymnasium this season and is making a bold statement on the runway. High fashion designers, including Balenciaga, Carven and Stella McCartney to name a few, have taken inspiration from active wear. They’re calling it “Sportif Chic”. Think mesh, trainers, cropped sweatshirts and shiny track jackets. Time to get physical.
It’s time to get extreme with outerwear. Seriously. Check out some of the hottest looks from my favourite designers. Whether it is punk inspired, oversized, plaid crazy, or fur frenzy, coats are the must-have Fall accessory.
TODAY’S LOOK - channeling the denim on denim.
Wearing: Rag & Bone skinny leg jeans, All Saints denim shirt, Senso ankle boots.
SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST.
What a way to finish off the fashion week festivities. The Parisian street style put the icing on the cake for me this year. I love the punk inspired attire which seems to be the trend of the moment. Punches of cobalt blue mashed with plaid, over sized jackets, as well as the traditional black and white were hot on trend. It seems Paris really did save the best for last.
BALMAIN SAYS BLING BLING.
Thick chain belts, chunky gold cuffs, chain linked necklaces, and woven booties with crystals. Couple this with quilted bomber jackets and ruffled skirts, and bam you have Balmains Spring/ Summer 2014 collection.
ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END.
Another year, another Milan Fashion Week completed. Here is a recap of some of the looks we saw walking the streets at this years event. From metallic jackets to short crop tops, and even a smoking pipe accessory, we saw it all.
Paris is up next. I wonder what street looks the city of love will bring us this week..
Come back to me
The black and white trend is a winner this season. Three reasons why I love this trend: Easy to wear, High impact on the eyes, Stay classic.
